Welcome to our wedding photo gallery!!

We got married in Sollentuna church, just north of Stockholm, Sweden on the 14th of June 1997.

This is the engagement page that we first posted in November 96. We also had a little celebration at home.

Pictures from the church
We start in the church where we have Johan waiting with Rikard, the best man, and Per Setterhall, the priest, as Cristina is walking down the aisle. She is handed over by her brother Fernando. Johan´s parents Peder and Kerstin are watching"?
We now have the moment when Johan puts the ring on Cristinas´s finger. There are no pictures of the wedding ceremony. After we were pronounced husband and wife, Johan´s sister Helena sang with the small choir a wonderful traditional swedish tune.
At the very end Helena and Per (Bob) performed "When I fall in love" . It was very beautiful.
It was time to walk out through the church passing all the guest as man and wife! Here you can see Cristina signing the wedding book of the church before we went outside to meet everybody!
The transport they had arrange to take us to the reception was a horse carriage. We later discovered it was marked with a "Just married " sign.

The dinner !
After arriving there was a toast in champagne with two glasses that we should keep forever. At the table we are cutting the cake. It wasn´t easy, because it was almost frozen....
The table of honour . Johan has on his left Cristina´s mother Amelia. Cristina has on her right Fernando, her brother, and Johan's mother. Johan´s father Peder welcoming everybody . He red a "letter" that Johan supposedly wrote. The bride´s sister Liana Desmond speaking for the Colombian family.
Here are a few photos from dinner starting with Johan´s grandmother Ellen. The best man, Rikard found the very reason how he got to know Johan. It was through basket ball (many years ago..). Some very dear friends, here in the shape of Catharina Widén, who had taken the trouble of translating a speech into spanish for Cristina, which was very sentimental.
Unforgettable Lotta von Plomgren spoke in several languages. Thanks for the cucuruchos glasses. Johan´s sister Helena giving a speech. Uncle Gustaf was the toast master.
Some friends came from far away. Here are Sergio and Lilia from Puerto Rico.
After dinner there was this little thing with the "Liga" (strumpeband or suspender). The lucky bachelor who wins has to remove it from the bride with his teeth.... Much to his surprise, Rikard got it !

The groom´s father Peder with Amelia , the bride´s mother. Cristina dancing with uncle Vince from LA . The happy couple dancing a cumbia (from northern Colombia) while other Colombians, like Juan and Rosa Amalia are cheering.
From the music corner the disc jockey, Peder and Catharina are singing. It was a great party! In the crowd we see Helena and Per . Edgar and Jacueline slow dancing. Peder and the bride dancing to latin music. We also have the bride letting it go . Cristina´s brother Fernando dancing with Veronika .
Here is the bride beside the wedding cake , which she did herself.
The happy couple tried to sneak away , but everybody was watching.
